Umm, yeah so our neighbors had a "block party" on Saturday night and we weren't able to go. We were...busy. I somehow have visions of a 2-year-old pumping a keg and random things being thrown in bonfires. And yet, they're all pretty nice people in the daylight! We're just nerds.

Looks like it was a crazy party!
Imagine the fun you could have had sitting on top of a roof. And you opted to stay at home?‼ ☺
I think that you did the right thing by staying home. That is just plain weird! I must be a nerd too.

I am a nerd too! Give me a cocktail party with Dean Martin on the hifi any day!
Hi Beth, I TOTALLY get what you mean. I was under the impression it was just new yorkers that tend to be a bit introverted toward neighbours etc. I suppose in this day and age, your quote by R.F is an ideal motto to live by, and of course, I too am a bit of NERD i suppose !... ~ giggle... : )
I don't know that I would have embraced this party either!
Oh my gosh!! Yah, that does give a new definition of "party people."
Don't feel bad. I wouldn't have been there either. Sometimes I wonder if I'm old-fashioned, or a fuddy duddy. But you called it being a nerd. LOL
That house looks so interesting! What did they have the party on the roof??
sometimes there are things better left unknown. LOL
thanks for your sweet comments!
Great Spanish! Love seeing that!
Thanks!!
What a funny pic!
And thanks for commenting on my grocery shopping. I too was going to participate in a co-op this summer, but just imagined the hundreds of dollars I'd have to pay up front, and the mounting pile of tomatoes and squash (that I knew we wouldn't eat) attracting flies on my counter top! Like I said, sometimes I think things are "cool" or the newest thing, "green" or "organic" and after I get in over my head, realize that that aint us! For example, I was watching Rachel Ray for awhile and decided that I was doing my family a disservice by not chopping up fresh parsley and putting it in everything, so I bought a bunch and was intent on using it every day! Again, it sat in the crisper and rotted! "Learning things the hard way is how I roll!" LOL
That's funny! We just had a block party too!
What in the world??? I think I will stay a nerd as well...it's just safer that way.
no way? this is not for real??
You're too funny! I sincerely hope this isn't your house! Nerds of the world unite!
wow crazy
That looks like one crazy party went on at that house! I know I wouldn't have wanted to be there!
I have to comment about your comment on my blog! OMG!!! I can't imagine what you went through on that day! Gee! My Jazz wasn't hurt at all except for a little hair off. It will grow back but at least it wasn't as deep as it could have been. My 5 yr old boy is the one guilty of that offense! lol I have to hide everything around here. I thought I had those his well but he does go through things looking for things to get into! I was working on my craft for my pay it forward and he got into my stuff. I went into his room today and found that he had cut a spool of ribbon that I bought for my craft also!
Hugs,
Angela
Okay, I'm a fuddy-duddy. But that roof display would scare me. I'm getting ready to have an eight foot fence put up. But then I had a two story bank go in across the street.

Good grief!! LOL!!
Okay, it looks like that scene from Pretty in Pink at the rich kid's house or the scene in Weird Science where all the stuff flies out of the house. (Dating myself here, can you tell?)
ha-ha-ha...!
My neighbors think I'm a recluse. :) I just don't like the cactus and 105 heat plus sun!
I'm just so glad I don't have any near neighbours! At least you were invited lol!
Don't have neighbors out in the country.
Girl, now you just have to come share a recipe with us!! Look through those archives!!
what the?
i'm a nerd, too!
LOL
